The FG53 is a very accurate instrument for generating sinewaves.  A frequency synthesizer  generates sinewaves from 10Hz to 25KHz. The unit has two knobs; one for changing the output voltage and the other for changing the frequency.The frequency is shown on the LED display. The display also is used to show the output voltage. The mode of the display is changed by pushing the controls.
The unit is powered with 3 AA batteries. The powerdown mode of the FG53 ensures long battery life.
